The letter we received is another glory to God. He knows how to help, support, and save in times of trial. Since the full-scale war began, over 70 families have seen His love through our evacuation. In each of these stories, you can feel the pain that childhood cancer brings to life. However, each of these stories is at the same time filled with hope, which is given by God’s love. ❤️

“The story I want to tell you is about people with whom fate brought me together during a difficult time for my family. It seemed that nothing worse could happen, because I survived my husband’s death, adapted to life during war and anxiety. But no, fate prepared another terrible test.
This story began two weeks before Easter. It was an ordinary working day. My son called me and said that he was not feeling well and would come home. And that’s where it started… Going to the Rivne Regional Children’s Hospital was urgently necessary because his blood tests were very bad.
Intensive care, the oncology department, where the doctors say that everything is bad, very bad, and what exactly, they do not explain. In the morning on Wednesday, they take a puncture – we need to urgently send the tests to Kyiv. But who will do this? I was told about the Charitable Foundation “TREASURY OF HOPE”, managed by Maryana Reva. She helps everyone who comes to her from the oncology department. Maryana immediately responded, and found volunteers who were able to quickly deliver the tests. You need to wait 10-14 days for the result.
A lot of thoughts and tears. In a few days, Maryana told me about another Christian Charitable Foundation “Timosha’s Smile”, managed by Yuliia Sanko, who helps our children go to Italy for treatment at “Comitato Maria Letizia Verga” clinic. My son will be taken for treatment for free, but we have to go soon, in the coming days. At first, there was a shock. How do I explain this to my son, who has no idea about anything? How can I leave my eldest son, my old parents, and my job? Where to get money for the road, for tickets?
But after pulling myself together, talking with my son and the doctor, and hearing Maryana’s convincing words, I decided to take advantage of this opportunity. The first time I dialed Yuliia’s phone number, I was very worried, but she reassured me, said that everything will be fine, that we will be treated in the best clinic in Europe, that we are not alone, that many families from Ukraine are being treated here, who will help and support.
There were still many pleasant acquaintances and support. Everyone helped: Maryana Reva, Yuriy Yatsyuk, Sergiy Parchuk, Svetlana Halai, Lilia Drapchynska and the Migration Service of Rivne region, Aga Boleslawska-Grajpel, Nataliia Poltavska, Christian Charitable Foundation “Timosha’s Smile”, managed by Yuliia Sanko, my relatives, godmothers, friends, colleagues, donors who donated blood, plasma or platelets.
We have been in the clinic for more than a week, the diagnosis has not yet been established, but I understand that in Ukraine it would be an almost hopeless situation. I can imagine how many people made an effort to give my son a chance at life. Thanks to everyone who participated! I sincerely thank “Timosha’s Smile” Foundation for such a good opportunity to be in Italy now and be treated in one of the best clinics in Europe!!!”
